Dr Roshith P is an Assistant Professor in Manufacturing and Materials Science Engineering with over five years’ teaching experience, more than seven years’ research engagement, and substantial industrial experience in applied manufacturing processes. He obtained his PhD in Manufacturing and Materials Science from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, following completion of an MTech in Engineering Design at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. He is presently pursuing an MBA in Human Resource Management at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. His academic and professional background encompasses university teaching, collaborative research, and practical industrial engagement.

His research interests include welding and joining technologies for dissimilar metals; additive manufacturing; the hot-corrosion behaviour of thermal-barrier coatings in aggressive environments; surface engineering techniques, including Laser Shock Peening and shot peening; and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manufacturing for process monitoring and optimisation. Dr Roshith has held academic and research appointments at several institutions and draws upon his industrial experience to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical manufacturing applications. He welcomes collaborative research projects and applications from prospective doctoral and postgraduate candidates for supervision.
