Dr Roshith P. is an Assistant Professor in Manufacturing and Materials Science Engineering with over five years of teaching experience, more than seven years of research engagement, and significant industrial experience in applied manufacturing processes. He earned his PhD in Manufacturing and Materials Science from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, after completing an MTech at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Coimbatore) and a BE from Anna University (Chennai). He has also completed an MBA in Human Resource Management (HRM) from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal. His academic and professional background spans university teaching, collaborative research, and hands-on industry practice, enabling him to integrate industrial experience with theoretical knowledge in engineering.

His research focuses on welding and joining technologies for dissimilar metals, additive manufacturing, the hot-corrosion behaviour of thermal-barrier coatings in aggressive environments, surface-engineering techniques such as Laser Shock Peening and shot peening, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manufacturing for process monitoring and optimisation. He applies this interdisciplinary expertise to bridge the gap between theoretical research and real-world manufacturing applications. He actively seeks collaborative projects, as well as doctoral and postgraduate candidates for supervision.
